Today could see heightened themes of agency, entanglement, reciprocity, and either being stuck or needing to stay (which are not the same thing at all, really). Growth happens whether we’re tending to things or not, just look at weeds that sprout from cracks in pavement. Consider what truly needs your attention, and what could continue to evolve without your input. And remember in an animist worldview, there are very few true objects. Actions do have consequences.

We’re in the final weeks of this 9 collective year, where every single daily, weekly, and monthly number is amplified. Due to the fact that 9 can essentially be canceled out in any reduction calculation it appears in (truly, try some out, i.e. 1+9 = 10, 1+0 = 1), every core number this year becomes more of itself. Magnified, and polarized. Embodying both sides of the coin at the same time.

Forty-seven is a number of rooted growth, finding support in the spiritual, and seeking wisdom from unorthodox sources.

When researching the number 47, I was surprised to find so many cultural and scientific references. There’s even a whole phenomenon and society built around it! So this week’s forecasts are all fun facts and cosmic connections having to do with this infamous number. Read all nine for fun, and then hone in on your yearly cycle and see what it could be offering you!

This week, look to both the ground and the sky for the resources you need. There is always knowledge and opportunity available to you, even in the deepest nights of winter, when the moon has disappeared from the sky. If you feel full and fruiting, see if you can sink into the pleasure and passion that is possible after you’re planted.

To find your yearly cycle number, add the digits of your month and day of birth to 2025, and reduce until you reach a single digit. For example, the calculation for my birthday of July 7 looks like: 7+7+2+0+2+5 = 23, 2+3 = 5.

Please note that I reduce doubled digit numbers like 11 and 22 to their root numbers when working with yearly cycles, so please calculate and read accordingly.

The 47-year cycle of Mars: The ancient Mesopotamians discovered that after 47 years, 22 synodic periods of 780 days each, Mars returns to the same position between the stars and maintains the same relationship with the Earth and the Sun.

Late rapper Capital Steez was infatuated with the number 47 and what it meant spiritually. He believed the number 47 was the “perfect expression of balance in the world”, representing the tension between the heart and the brain (the fourth and seventh chakras, respectively.)

The 47 “conspiracy” can be attributed to “Star Trek” writer and producer Joe Menosky, who started sneaking 47 into his scripts during his run as a writer on “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” The reason? Menosky is a graduate of Pomona College in Claremont, California, where the number 47 is touted by student and staff as the “quintessential random number” of the universe. This inside joke caught on with other “Star Trek” writers, eventually leaking into the series’ other spinoffs “Voyager” and “Deep Space Nine.”

The ’47 hat brand references the year 1947, which holds special significance as the founding year that Italian immigrant brothers, Henry D’Angelo and Arthur D’Angelo, embarked on a journey that would leave a lasting impact on the sports apparel.

Pope Simplicius was the 47th pope. In the time of his pontificate, the long-lasting Western Roman Empire finally ended in a period of chaos. Pope Simplicius made it a personal mission to help the people of Rome to navigate through those dark and dangerous times.

Silver is the chemical element in the periodic table that has the symbol Ag and atomic number 47. Silver is associated with purity, reflection, and the lunar cycle, embodying receptivity and the subconscious mind.

The number 47 has historical implications to Pomona College, a liberal arts college in Claremont, California, and has been incorporated into various aspects of campus life. The tradition began in the summer of 1964, when two students, Laurie Mets and Bruce Elgin, conducted a research project seeking to find out whether the number occurs more often in nature than would be expected by chance. They documented various 47 sightings, and professor Donald Bentley produced a false mathematical proof that 47 was equal to all other integers. The number became a meme among the class, which spread once the academic year began and snowballed over time.
