Review of ‘If it Wasn’t for the Midges’ By Malky McEwan

Imagine Sean Connery’s burr….

★★★★

Tis the Irish that speak with a brogue, the Scots have a burr… In my head I often imagined Connery narrating the tour of his homeland. Malky did a fair job stepping into that role. Humor, history, (I like history) golf, (not so much) wee things, (not at a pub). Yes, there were moments where I had to nudge myself past a winded dalliance, but overall, I enjoyed the tour. The Scots can keep their wee roads though, At times I thought ole Malky might be trying to discourage us Yanks from clogging up their car parks and narrow gauge highways…Cheers!
