I’ve been hard at work at my next book, which I am hoping to have finished in time for Christmas. It’s going to be a stretch, and I say “hoping” only because there are so many things in my life that are unpredictable. Last year around this time, our daughter’s seizures were acting up and I had to spend a few days in the hospital with her, and many more days focused only on seizure surveillance. Thankfully they’ve been better this year, but I don’t take anything for granted.

So… we’ll see. Even without interruptions, it’s going to be a challenge to get it out in time. But I’m very excited about it, and I think a lot of you will enjoy it. Some of you already know Davey Sunshine from his adventures in Santa Cruz with the Sexual-Justice Warriors (and if you don’t, well, go check it out! It’s a short read.)

This time, Davey is down in Los Angeles (he tends to go where the winds take him), working as a bud-tender in a CBD dispensary. It’s early 2020, and things are about to change in a big way.

Very quickly, Davey finds his world turned upside down. But he’s OK with that—after all, we’re all just floating along in a universe of wonders, along for the ride, right?—until he isn’t. No-one is more surprised than Davey when he finds himself teaming up with the mother of a vaccine-injured child and a nurse who has been coerced into doing things to patients that she’d rather forget, to defeat demons he didn’t even know existed.

Like I said, I think you’ll like it.

And I’m doing something I’ve never done before: I’m building a “street team” to help promote it. This will be a bunch of people who work with me to help promote the book, especially during launch week.
