​Working Title—the team behind book-based film Bridget Jones—has found its next romantic comedy in British Nigerian author Bolu Babalola’s Honey and Spice.

The company has acquired the film rights to Babalola's novel. The author herself will also write the screenplay, marking her feature screenwriting debut. She previously created, wrote, and executive-produced the TV pilot Big Age, which aired on Channel 4 in 2021.
