ACX struggle
So, I got the rights back (amiccably) for 13 of my books. All are now published on KDP in Paperback and Ebook. I have them posted on ACX for auditions BUT...
Love Taps has gone great. The narrator finished 90 days ahead of schedule and it is in review.
Mistress Domination has a contract offer, but I am waiting on 15 min samples.
The rest have received almost 0 auditions with a couple receiving heavily echoed phone recording auditions, one with a cat meowing in the background. I appreciate the attempt, but I don't think they'd pass QA.
This is annoying as everyone is opposed to virtual voice, everyone tells me there are tons of talented narrators seeking work, everyone wants more LGBT novels on audible but when I reach out its either crickets or $200 per finished hour. I know royalty share can be a gamble but $2000 to read a 10 hour book?
*grumble* I'll keep trying, but it really grinds my gears.
