December 2025

Goodbye and Hello to 2025 and 2026, so say John, Paul, George, and Pope Ringo, err Ringo and Pope Leo.

Unfortunately, not even Pope Leo has the power to exorcise AI from humanity's lifetime, so it is up to each of us to make every effort to avoid using AI, and confronting those that are using it to take advantage of creative individuals for corporate profit, while their lack of regulation is protecting bad actors that are using it to churn out child sexual abuse material by the terabyte every month, as well as deepfake scams, and chatbots that are increasing teenage suicide rates.

The evil irony of it all is that an AI scraper is going to steal this text, create some fictional jargon to go along with it, and use it as a fantastical citation in a made up term paper that will never actually exist, but will somehow sound like I'm supporting genAI.

I am not a supporter of genAI, I do not support the use of genAI, nor do I want to encourage the development of genAI. genAI is a plague upon the world, and it sucks, period.

Happy 2026!
