Still Becoming

Still Becoming
What the world discards, God does not forget.
There are seasons when life feels like being cast aside — overlooked, misunderstood, or quietly abandoned. Like a stone thrown into the riverbed, we settle beneath the surface, shaped by currents we did not choose.
But God’s hands do not move like the worlds.
What is dismissed as ordinary or broken is lifted with intention. What appears insignificant is refined with care. In His hands, the stone becomes a gemstone, not because it struggled to change, but because it was never meant to remain unseen.
So many carry wounds formed in places meant to offer safety and nurture. Over time, those wounds whisper lies: You are invisible. You are replaceable. You are less than.
Yet God draws near to the ones who have been passed over. He is Father to the orphaned heart, defender of the vulnerable, and restorer of those bowed low by rejection. Where the world rushes past, He pauses. Where judgment speaks loudly, grace listens.
Before we measure our worth: or someone else’s — it is worth remembering this: what looks unfinished may still be becoming.
And perhaps, in that remembering, we begin to see ourselves not as discarded stones, but as gemstones still being revealed.
