December 2025 update
Hello all, its been a while since I last shared an update on The Little-Astwick Mysteries series so I thought it was about time to give an update.
Buoyed on by the release of the third book in the series, Detained at the Tower, I was quite happily writing book number four (title yet to be confirmed), but then something didnt feel quite right to me. I decided to take a short break and have a think about where the story needed to go.
Part of me was feeling the pressure to tie up the series in this book and, if Im honest, the pressure got to me a bit. I decided to take a break from writing whilst I reorganised my thoughts, but then another story idea came from out of nowhere and ended up taking over.
Kines TaleThere is something about writing when the inspiration hits, and this short story idea turned into a fantasy adventure story called Kines Tale.
Something a bit different from what Ive written before, and a first foray into the fantasy genre, Kines Tale is a story of revenge. Two different worlds collide when Kine meets the stranger from the city of Kulin.
Heres a little trailer for you to set the scene.
Its available now from Amazon by the way.
Back to book fourNow that story is out of the way, I have turned my attention back to book four in the series. Reading through what I had written so far, there was lots I was very happy with and a few bits that needed some changes.
To summarise, I rewrote the bits that needed some attention and Im now making good progress with the rest of the story.
There are lots of characters in The Little-Astwick Mysteries as the series has grown and expanded over time. I want to make sure I give them all the stories and adventures they deserve, so please stick with me and I will share another update in the new year with the latest progress.
As always, Im forever grateful for all your support buying and reading The Little-Astwick Mysteries books and I cant thank you all enough!
