During school visits, students often ask me: If you weren’t a writer, what would yoube?
Andmost of the time, I respond: A wildlife biologist.
Thisanswer satisfies them because, of course, they’re asking about jobs, careers. But the truth is that even if I weren’t a published author, I’d still be awriter—a person who writes.
Putting pen to paper or fingers to keyboard is how I process my jumble ofthoughts and feelings. It’s how I make sense of the world. The act of writingis central to who I am.
That’swhy I immediately fell in love with this infographic by Hidde Douna (www.growthbyvisuals.com) when I spotted it on Instagram. It made me feel seen. The Dutchscientist and self-taught artist has a real talent for clean, simple visualsfull of insight.
Thankyou, Hidde!
