When exhaustion doesn't win

Active writing requires a lot of attention, a lot of dedication and a lot of patience. And I mean a lot of it. LOL.

Nearing the end of my second book, 'The Sin of Brym Hollow', the last few months have been on repeat.

Wake up early, write several pages, attend to my daily routine which consists of getting my children awake, fed and prepared for school, then my usual 9 to 5 job. Then once work is done, I spend quality time with my children, whip up dinner, and then once they are heading to bed, I pull my laptop back out, and my fingers continue through additional pages.

My life is like ground hog day. A repeat but a repetition that I devour myself in.

I enjoy my stories. I live there part time.

So here is me with my open and honest feedback when it comes to anything you enjoy doing... if you want it, go get it. Don't let the negative and "what-ifs" eat away your mind. Start somewhere small, and make a goal. Whether that is daily, weekly, monthly or 7 years from now. I find that if I set a goal, and a strict deadline, that I will either meet it smack right on that date, or earlier. And hey, if you fail, use that as a learning tool. Pick back up, and start over again.

It's better to see the positives in it, then the negatives. Our mind does wonders so feed it fuel, not rot.

As always, Love - S K Collier
