I am from a New York City family but moved to Rochester when I was 9. The New York background plus my father's tale of Grouchy Bear inspired my children's books. I have driven the route that Grouchy Bear travels looking for berries.
My husband and I moved to San Diego with the Navy and stayed. He is also a New Yorker and we visit every summer. I was a school district Speech-Language Pathologist in San Diego and incorporated children's books and cooking activities in my therapy. My children are the only ones not born in New York. My daughter teases me about the accent I never lost. We are a very verbal family which led to Barbarism's - A Journal. Family sayings to prompt your writing; I call it creative non-fiction.
I am an anglophile since I spent my junior year of high school in Brighton, England. My favorite book is Pride and Prejudice.
