Just yesterday I submitted my manuscript to the group I am using to self-publish. My excitement and anticipation are palpable! I am especially looking forward to seeing what they suggest for cover art. I had a few ideas in mind, but was concerned they may seem cliche'. I am anxious to see if their ideas match the message of the book, and how well the imagery will fit with the pictures in my mind. Practicing patience, badly.

I have now chosen a cover theme from the two that Createspace provided. It is terrific and I have been pleased by the feedback it is already generating on facebook. I am making a few small changes to it and should have the final cover within a week. Copies of the book should be available in just over a month. A-n-t-i-c-i-p-a-t-i-o-n....
Cover is finalized, I am on the last revision of 3 for the interior design, and have 2 rounds of detailed editing to complete. Should be finished by the end of August as long as I keep the deadlines I have made for myself. A special thank you to Johanna who gave me a mini makeover for my photo-shoot, and to Linda who took and then finessed some great pictures. I appreciate the extra confidence you gave me!
I received today the proof copy. Wow! What a rush! Looks like a September release. I need to start planning the launch party!
