Moving along
The new book, "The Mauthausen 7," has been a real challenge since it is adapted from a play I wrote in the early 2000s. Coming along well but not sure of a finish date yet. Another little bit of a preview below ---
As the wee hours wane on, the door of Block #5 crashes open with a thunderous roar. The still silence has been shattered. The inhabitants of the block instinctively react to the sudden sound but dare not move lest their lives be in great danger. Framed in the dark opening is a monstrous man, The Kapo. Standing six foot tall with a wide girth and a face with sharp features and filled with hate, he holds a large pickaxe in his left hand. His appearance suggests that he is the epitome of brute force. Strapped to his belt is a sheath holding a knife that could kill a bear in a single swipe. In his right hand he drags the lifeless body of a man into the block. He effortlessly throws him down to the floor where he lies motionless.
