Siss Cross.

Located on Danby Low Moor just to the west of the old Siss Cross Road (track), this waymarker stone was reportedly placed to mark the site of the original medieval cross which once stood at this location. The track for which it acts as a waymarker was a route for packhorses coming from the north to Danby, it also joined another main pack-horse route known as the Panniermans Causeway just to the north of the village.
