And sometimes, you sit down to do 9 to 12 chapters of revisions and end up finishing the whole book…which is what happened yesterday.

I sat down in the morning to work on the revisions for the dark academia/dark fantasy upper YA~ moving the revisions from paper to laptop~ and I finished the whole book. At the end, I was still in the creative flow state and I wanted to continue on to do some of the smaller edits but chose (wisely) to stop and enjoy the win. I ended up adding about five or six pages, but this book is almost ready to submit. I just have to do one more round of small edits/a read-through to make certain I didn’t miss anything.

There is such a thing as over-editing, and I can tell when I’m getting to that stage. So, one more round/read-through and this book will be ready. So exciting!
