Revealing Flamel’s immortal secrets on Wikipedia

The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series coversI do not edit my wiki page.  It is managed by the good people at Flamel’s Immortal Portal and the associated Fan Forum, which is the only official fan site and the one I visit every day.  The Portal and Forum act as a gathering place and discussion ground for fans.  It is moderated of course, and completely child friendly.  It is safe to say that the moderators know as much about the books as I do.

However, with remarkable regularity the moderators must go onto the Wikipedia pages and correct additions and emendations to the pages by readers whose enthusiasm outstrips their knowledge.

The single most changed item has to do with the title characters.  Each book in the series is named after a character.  Some are easy to guess (The Alchemyst is Flamel, for example), but others require a closer reading of the text.  So here, to avoid endless Wikipedia changes, is the (almost) definitive list. The Alchemyst is Nicholas Flamel.

The Magician is Dr John Dee.
The Sorceress is Perenelle Flamel.
The Necromancer is Josh Newman.
The Warlock is Niccolo Machiavelli

The Enchantress is …  I deliberately do not say who the Enchantress is in the text, though there are plenty of clues.   There are three possibles at the end of the book, but, given that The Enchantress is not yet out in certain territories, I’ll not say just yet.

Aminah G I think that Sophie is the enchantress. Just a guess but I think it could be correct.it took me a little more time to find out who the warlock and necromancer were. I knew that pernell was the sorceress since I read the first book based of the info. I had a strong feeling mr.dee( who needs to die in a dark hole) was the magician and it's kind of obvious tht fanel's the alchmyst. The green smoke on the cover gave it away since that's the colOr of his magic.

Anim Tsagaglalal could be the enchantress as well... the last book had more importance on Tsagaglalal than Sophie in my opinion

Aminah G True.

JasminReads I am hoping that the Enchantress is Sophie. I haven't quite finished the book yet but in my eyes it is between her and Tsagaglalal, however She-who-watches doesn't seem the enchantress type (I use this reasoning because Nicholas is called the Alchemist, Dee is called the magician etc. however no one has referred to Tsagaglalal as Enchantress, not yet at least).

JustifiedAngels Why is there an epilogue at the end of The Enchantress is there a mini book or a additional part we can read

JustifiedAngels Does anyone know of another series of books that are like the Nicholas flames series, I was a bit dissapointed by the end of The Enchantress because it left us with want to read more when there was no more

Collin Duke I just finished this series. As indicated by Michael Scott, the Enchantress is indeed Sophie, but the larger question - who did Sophie become. (Spoiler Alert) Only one likely possibility. Sophie is The Witch of Endor. The witches memories of Josh and Sophie fighting on the top of the pyramid can only be explained by her witnessing it. To explain how Scathach and the others do not recall that she The witch of Endor is indeed Sophie, Sophie enchanted them to not remember any events on Danu Tanis. (time travel is a problem no matter what "It's the Hot Tub Time Machine all over again" I thought for a brief moment that Sophie became Perenelle, because her origin is left largely unknown to all, but that makes even less sense. It is possible, but it would create even more time issues, and problems with the book.
