The Quiet Between

I’m hard at work on my next novel, The Quiet Between, and I’m excited to finally begin sharing a few glimpses of what’s coming this fall.

The city keeps inviting me in.

While writing The Quiet Between, I’ve spent a great deal of time wandering New Orleans—through cemeteries, museums, quiet streets, and places where history seems to linger a little longer than it should.

The French Quarter after dark. A woman waiting in a bayou shanty. A city that remembers more than it admits.

Claire’s story continues this fall as she, Hallie, and Mae travel from the hills of Missouri to New Orleans, where family history and old mysteries begin to overlap in unexpected ways.

Some families inherit photographs.

Some inherit stories.

Some inherit things that have been waiting for them all along.

I’m deep in revisions now and can’t wait to share more with you this fall.
