From Me to You

I’ve read Joshua Scribner before, so was keen to read this latest short. What he does really well is establish his lead characters and the initial tension in the first few pages – this tale did it in the first few paragraphs. I was immediately invested in knowing more about both hypnotist and patient. The story, as ever, didn’t disappoint. Pulled me along. Wave after wave of intrigue. Tension rising. Very well crafted. As unsettling as it was unputdownable. And, ultimately, an ending I didn’t expect. I think the premise behind this could easily expand out into a novella.
