I loved Humphrey Boghart in that movie. An actor that played hard-nosed, rugged gangster in most movies with a raspy voice, could play such a soft, tender role.

Also loved the friendship between him and corrupt police inspector.
I call them The Odd Couple in a beautiful friendship.

And of course the gorgeous heroine, lovely plot and Rick’s classy restaurant. I wish I could experience all this again with fresh eyes.
