Well, my next book, "The Nevada Facility" is written. I don't know how soon I can publish it because my eyesight is severely impaired. By enlarging the text, I can read and write. But other tasks are just more than I can do.
However, just to remind everybody that I still exist...and that hopefully I can get that eye repair and start cranking out books again soon...
I'm posting a little teaser from Book 2 of "The Nevada Facility," which I'm now slowly and painstakingly working on:

Nikki, holding her bathrobe closed with one hand, shuffled along behind Dr. Andros, who led the prisoners to a heavy steel door. Robin, off balance because of her own ankle chains, trailed a few steps behind.
Beyond the doorway was a long narrow tubelike chamber, made of what appeared to be butterscotch colored concrete, looking as though it had been extruded through a narrow nozzle. There was a stainless steel table, perhaps fifteen feet long. On the table were five white containers, which resembled gigantic suppositories. Near the end of the table stood a young woman: nude, her feet flat on the floor. Her hands were high over her head, held in place with cushioned plastic cuffs on her wrists.
The whole place smelled of wet rotting paper, and bleach, and, next to the woman, of stale urine.
Robin stared at the woman. Her head, covered by close cropped dark hair, tipped forward so that her chin rested on her neck. Her eyes were covered by white plastic half globes. A white tube protruded from one nostril. A large breathing tube was taped in place, drooping from the side of her mouth.
Most peculiarly, a network of wire covered her entire body…two networks actually. One was thin red wire which seemed to plug into skin every few inches. A web of thicker green wire – or tubing – was tight on her body. As they moved forward, Robin noted that the woman was catheterized and her vagina plugged with an ugly black device with several holes on the end.
“So,” Robin said, “what are we looking at here?”
Robin was terrified. She felt her legs tremble – felt the need to pee.
Andros flashed a tight smile. “We’re prepping Liz here for long term close confinement. The red wires are electric, hooked up to various nerves which control muscles. The green is the temperature regulation system. Wastes are handled by a catheter in her bladder and a lavage system plugged into her rectum.
“I take it that you’re going put her in one of those white boxes,” Nikki said.
“You catch on quick,” Andros replied. “Except that we’re going to spray the material onto her and seal her up.”
“What’s the material?” Nikki asked. Robin noted that Nikki seemed less horrified than her. That knowledge calmed her, stopped the shakiness in her legs.
“Chiton,” Dr. Andros replied. She brushed her hand through her graying hair.
“Why?” Nikki asked simply.
“Let me show you,” Andros said. She opened a heavy fire door.
The next room was a smaller chamber. Besides the fire door, this compartment had, opposite the door through which they’d entered, an oversize round steel hatchway – similar to the bulkhead door in a submarine – except that it was more than ten feet tall and operated with a two-foot diameter wheel lock.
On the perpendicular wall was a smaller, more human sized, bulkhead door. More like a bank vault, Robin thought.
Andros strode confidently to the larger door. She had to exert herself to turn the big wheel. But she did turn it and the massive door swung open. Inside, a dark metal plate, held six holes, exactly the size to fit the chiton coffins, arranged like cartridge chamber of a revolver. “We’re going to put the girls in here,” Andros said. “The wire will keep the muscles exercised by controlling flexion and extension. Body temperature will be carefully monitored and adjusted. The subjects will be fed through feeding tubes. Their breathing will be done through demand valves. In other words, they will be maintained in a semiconscious state in long term storage,”
“How long?” Nikki pressed.
Andros shrugged. “Who knows? Years.”
Robin shuddered. Nobody spoke for a while. Andros seemed to be thinking things over. After some hesitation she said, “Let me show you.” She closed the giant door and showed the two women to the smaller door. She opened it and the women found themselves inside a smaller metal room and facing yet another sealed doorway.
“Airlock.” Andros said. She closed the first door and pressed a red button on the wall. Robin noted a loud hiss, which started loud but progressed to a soft sigh.
“The pressure and extra oxygen may cause some dizziness,” Andros warned. “And you’ll feel some pressure in your ears.”
Within a few moments the chamber was pressurized. After a few deep breaths, the women were acclimated. Andros opened the next door.
The smell oi decaying paper was overwhelming – along with a tangy scent that she tasted on her tongue.
Curious, Robin shuffled past Andros and looked into the next room.
She screamed,
Nikki pushed her way to the door. “What the hell is that?” she screeched
