Here We Go.

I just finished writing the first draft of Young Dunmoore (Siobhan Dunmoore: The Early Years Book 1)It covers her years at the Armed Forces Academy and her abortive career as a Navy fighter pilot. I expect there will be four volumes in all in the Siobhan Dunmoore: The Early Years series, the next one being her command of the scout ship Don Quixote at the start of the Shrehari War, followed by her command of the corvette Shenzen, with the fourth and final one covering her time as the Toboso Fleet Supply Depot’s second in command (which I referred to in Victory’s Bright Dawn.) This first installment, being set in peacetime, has no combat action or intrigue, but plenty of Siobhan Dunmoore growing into the young officer she eventually becomes. Call it a labour of love, if you like. It’s definitely for Dunmoore fans.

When will it hit the shelves? Mid to late September. Perhaps a bit earlier. Hard to say. It all depends on my editor’s availability in late August.

And that’s all the news I had! I hope it cheers up those among my readers who’ve been asking about Siobhan’s origin story.
