Caillebotte’s The Path in the Garden pulls you along a path with flowing greenery onto sun-kissed grass that surely smells as fragrant as the surrounding flora. Munch’s Thuringian Forest swirls with angry red lines (reminiscent of lava) that reveal the artist’s turbulent psyche.
