Back in the day when I used to write fanfiction, there were a number of topics I was positive I'd never write. Little by little, I found myself writing them.

For JMS Books's 16th anniversary, the topic was 16 Candles with a twist, taking inspiration from movies of the '80s such as 16 Candles and The Breakfast Club.

Well, me being me, I took my inspiration from Peggy Sue Got Married. If you've seen that, you'll know Peggy Sue had a medical emergency during her 25th high school reunion and wound up back in 1986.

Hmm. I could work with that. But suppose, instead of Caspian Johansen waking as his 17-year-old self, he woke up as Casandra Johansen, in the body he'd always felt should be his. And suppose, in addition to that, Casandra had the gift of prophesy, and those she loved believed her!!

And so, The Girl Who Wasn't Afraid to Ride Motorcycles was born. And frankly, this was one of the easier ones to write. (JMS gives me the best covers!) That's Cas on the right and Honey on the left.
