Let's get into this monster(?) romance featuring an ALIEN.

Written by queer indie author KC De la Rosa (he/him), this ~170 page short novel is about a human woman named Candy, her diverse alien friend group, and her devoted alien lover Votra. I liked how many different species are in this book, and it has one of my favorite tropes: a love interest who's only personality is pining after the FMC like a lovesick puppy (see any Ali Hazelwood book for reference).

As for tropes, we get failed-one-night-stand followed by dating-the-boss. This book has an achillean sequel, but is a complete story by itself!
