Well well well, I guess I never made an update about the release of And Side by Side They Wander, but it’s out! It’s been out for two months, but whatever. As usual, my Patreon is the best way to stay up on what I’m up to…I do free posts pretty regularly, you don’t even have to pay. I mean, you could…I try to make it worth people’s while.

Also, I’m excited to note here that the first ever Jirel of Joiry novella, authored by moi, Blue Fire, funded crazy well. We raised $23k, amazing given our goal was $9k. I was pretty nervous about this, but Joiry’s lady inspires fervor in her readers, and Oliver Brackenbury over at Brackenbury Books/New Edge Sword & Sorcery magazine knows how to run the fuck out of a crowdfund. The book will have spray edges, two illustrations, a friggin’ map, back and front cover art by Saša Đurđević, and will have two companion pieces, a PDF booklet of my inspo drawings, and a riso printed (this means something to someone, I’m sure) ‘zine of my story, “The City of Tears,” which features Jirel’s bestie, the disgraced knight Thevin Galois. (“The City of Tears” will also appear in the inaugural edition of Locus Best Science Fiction & Fantasy of the Year, which is crowdfunding now, actually.
