I swear I blinked and somehow we're already at the end of another month.

Most of July has been spent doing one thing. Writing. Or, more accurately, writing, editing, rereading, changing my mind, editing again, and wondering why I thought writing a book was a sensible hobby.

The biggest news is that Fit for a King is almost there.

If everything goes to plan, by the end of this month I'll be working through the final stages of editing before release. It's always a strange feeling reaching this point. I've spent months living with these characters, and now I'm getting ready to hand them over to you.

Ash and Hayley have definitely kept me busy. There have been moments where they've completely ignored my plans, taken scenes in directions I wasn't expecting, and reminded me that sometimes the best parts of a story are the ones you never saw coming.

Outside of writing, I managed to escape for a weekend at 2000 Trees Festival . As much as I tell myself I'm going to switch my brain off, it never really happens. I came home with pages of notes and ideas for the series that will follow What You Wish For. Those stories are still taking shape, but it's exciting knowing there are plenty more waiting to be told.

I've also been having some exciting conversations with Anthology Bookshop in Bourne about the possibility of holding an author signing. Nothing is confirmed just yet, but I'm keeping everything crossed. As soon as I have more news, you'll be one of the first to know.

To everyone who's read The Obsidian Games , left a review, recommended the books, or simply followed along while I disappear into another manuscript, thank you. Every bit of support helps more than you realise, especially as an indie author.

Now it's back to the edits for me.
