I recently had the joy of reading the debut novels of two of my favorite authors, after falling in love with and consuming all their later books. And at first I was a little apprehensive, worried they would not live up to the expectations I’ve developed for the kinds of books they produce. But I needn’t have feared! 

These were both a joy to read, and certainly representative of the skill and quality I can count on for all of Emily and Brigitte’s books! They took me back to my earlier days of reading classic fantasy tales of fair maidens and noble warriors
