Why Did I Write This Book?

I spent over twenty years in the courtrooms of Philadelphia. You hear things there you cannot repeat and cannot forget. A man explaining himself badly. A mother sitting in the second row. The sound a room makes right before a verdict.

Those years accumulate. You cannot set them down at the end of the day and you cannot tell them at dinner. Eventually there were too many to keep carrying.

The Trinity is what came of that. Harry is not me and his clients are invented. But the work is the work, and I have done the work, and I wanted to tell a story for people to see it the way it actually is.
