Back to Basics
Hey there, Awesomeness,
Lately, I’ve been struggling to get back to consistently creating content and sharing it, like before. And then yesterday I realized that it is not the creative process I am having trouble with; it is putting it out there that I have been stuck at. For instance, I did a video in my car yesterday that originally started off at 2 minutes and ended up being 20 minutes long. I then thought about editing it, breaking it up, and taking out some parts I didn’t like. Then I received a revelation from God last night and again this morning: “I AM trying to be Perfect in my delivery instead of Purposed”.
So, I posted the video across all my platforms. Those that the message is for will receive it and get what they need. And so I am going back to the basics of when I just wanted to inspire people to live a life that is filled with love, healing, joy, peace, laughter, purpose, and so much more.
When I started my businesses and brand, I found true joy in creating and sharing what God placed in me. Now, after being on sabbatical for almost 2 years, putting everything on hold while fighting and winning victory over cancer, I’ve been trying to pick back up where I left off. Now, I realize that’s insane, because you can’t enter a race and expect to have the same momentum as before if you’ve been on the sidelines for so long; there has to be a building up of strength and endurance to finish the race strong.
Although my life’s work is not a race to be won, but a journey to be enjoyed, I am still starting over, and so I will give myself grace and use wisdom. Do I want to launch everything back again at once? Yes! Is that wise? NO! So, I will be starting with my Espresso Shots of Inspiration videos, which are short yet powerful bursts of encouragement meant to carry you through your day. You can find them and other videos on my YouTube Channel. Make sure to subscribe and hit the notification button; I promise I won’t take up too much of your time unless you need it!
And REMEMBER TO BE BOLD, BE UNASHAMED, and most importantly BE HEALED!!!
Love Y’ALL,
Listiner
