Goodbye, Dolly

So sad to hear the passing of one of the greatest country singers, Dolly Parton. Dolly Rebecca Parton, was just as beautiful on the outside as she was on the inside, with a larger-than-life personality. Dolly gave back to her community, to COVID research, hurricane relief and many other charities. Dolly was more than an American singer, songwriter, actress, businesswoman, she was a philanthropist who has had a 60-year career of helping everyone. Her unique, storytelling abilities within her music, will never be forgotten. One of my favorite movies of her was the 1980 sitcom, “9 to 5.” Dolly sold more than 100 million records worldwide. She also received 11 Grammy awards. Dolly was unable to read sheet music; however, she could play many instruments, including: the dulcimer, autoharp, banjo, guitar, electric guitar, fiddle, piano, recorder and the saxophone. Dolly, passed away today at age 80 in Nashville. Farewell to the queen of country. I had the pleasure of following her on Twitter, commenting on some of her posts, with her even answering me back on one of them. May you rest in peace.
