Fireworks, Fog & Fatality is a delightful, twisted, small town, cozy mystery. I love these characters and the town of Misty Pines, especially Ellie's dog Toffee and super cat Maybelle. (How does Maybelle know these things first?!!) The mystery is always intriguing and well plotted. Ellie's house-sitting job is the perfect gig for delving in to all these mysteries. Kayleigh, Jenna, Gabe and the aforementioned fur pieces need to solve the disappearance of the homeowners' son and what he may have been up to. Then there is a mysterious fire where a body is discovered. This should take Ellie's mind offFireworks, Fog & Fatality: A Small Town Culinary Cozy Mystery her impending divorce! I get so thoroughly invested in these books that nothing else gets accomplished until I read "The End"!
