Desperate Escape
Hi m’beauties,
Busy few weeks for me!
First and most importantly, book 9 in Tangled Empires “Desperate Escape” is now out. Don’t read this one without reading book 8 first though as the two books act as a duology within the series.
After the angst of Alessandro and Gabriella’s marriage from his side, you now get the marriage from her perspective. And the cliffhanger at the end of book 8 (IFYKY) is finally explained in this new book.
All the series is written now and the books will continue being published on a 2 month schedule until July next year when the final book in the 14 book series comes out.
That won’t be the end of the Tangled Universe though, you’ll meet the parents of Aurelio and co next in a new series called Tainted Origins out late next year and then after that I’ll be working on several series covering all the children.
In other news I’ve now published two books of poetry and a play under the pen name Anna Fawcett. These have been kicking round my hard drive for a long time but I enjoy writing a LOT more than editing!
This might be a very different readership to my usual reader beauties so I won’t be offended at all if people don’t rush out and buy them.
However, if you are interested in having a read, I’d be happy to send a free digital copy of either my poetry or play to anyone willing to write an honest review of any of the Tangled Empires books. Just ping me on annahardingdarkromance@gmail.com if interested.
This is the play:
When London solicitor Paul takes an ill-advised shortcut through rural Yorkshire, a fox, a muddy field and a complete lack of mobile reception leave him stranded in the tiny village of Meadowfield.
All he needs is a little help getting his car back onto the road.
Unfortunately, he has walked into the local pub.
There he meets Brian, a barman deeply suspicious of choice; Henry, who isn’t entirely convinced the Romans existed; Jim, who may or may not own two horses; Mavis, whose memories are considerably more flexible than Paul’s; and Irene, who has started knitting something that might eventually become a scarf.
As one simple request for assistance descends into an increasingly bewildering argument about truth, memory, belief, choice, friendship and watered-down lager, Paul’s confidence in the basic rules of reality begins to look distinctly fragile.
A Community Endeavour is an absurdist comedy about strangers, community and the stories we choose to believe — because sometimes it doesn’t particularly matter whether something is true, provided everyone remembers it the same way.
Hope you are all enjoying the faint whiff of pumpkins in the air as we move into the autumn.
Love to you all
Anna
