It’s nice to be getting back to my blog since early June, and DragonCon turned out to be exactly the creative reset I needed. Sitting in on the Writers’ Track panels shook loose a lot of new ideas and reminded me why I enjoy building worlds and stories in the first place.

Since getting home, I’ve reorganized my Scenes Bible — finally giving drifting characters proper homes and mapping their communities the way I intended. That cleanup has already made the writing process smoother and more focused.

I’ve also stepped back into Angels Unawares, about halfway through the third book of the trilogy. Returning to the midpoint after a break has sharpened the emotional beats and clarified the pacing in ways I didn’t expect.

Alongside the trilogy, my in‑world cookbook is in its final stages before publication, and a new standalone novel has its early scenes drafted. I’m also outlining two additional narratives. Ideas keep arriving — some from DragonCon, some from quieter moments — and I’m letting them find their place.

It feels good to be moving forward again with momentum and clarity.
