While Mr. B is overseas on business, I've found myself reflecting more and more on what he does, what I do, and what we bring to the relationship separately to make it our perfect whole. (Note the W in front of the word!)
Loving someone is more than a glance or a cup of coffee delivered without pretense.
It's anticipation, motivation and complete adoration.
My dopamine doesn't drip with a new necklace or a fancy dinner. I'm a more simple gal. There is a difference between another knowing they are loved, and being shown why every day. The 1 percenters add up. The affirmations, the small gestures. Nuance matters. Not being asked to run the dishwasher, but doing it anyway because it was full, and you, too, can press a button. Don't wait to be asked, act! Be present, be powerful and most importantly, be prepared.
