TGIF!! It’s time to share five random things about out week. Here’s mine:

I’m doing so much better now. Still healing, and I will be for awhile. It turns out, I’m not indestructible I got some insurance paperwork, and when I saw the diagnosis was something along the lines of  “trying to control a severe nasal hemorrhage” it was sobering. But I’m healing now and I’m grateful (so is Wizard!). I’ll go back to weight lifting when I feel it’s reasonably safe. I was thinking next week or the week after, but we will see.I murdered my two beloved carpet roses Sigh…it’s really sad. Yesterday I replaced them with some Snapdragons until next fall. But when I pulled the carpet roses out, I learned what my mistake was — they were both severely root bound into the exact same shape of the container they originally came in. I should have checked, and carefully loosened all that up before I planted then in the barrels, and I think they would have been fine. This makes me feel better to be able to actually see what my mistake was and how to fix it. Even if I still am a renowned plant killer, I’m trying to reform!Meet my new indoor plant, named Stella Stardust. My daughter in law’s mom gave her to me, and she’s happy here, so far! It’s been weeks, and she’s still alive. It’s a miracle! By the way, that huge leaf in front is new and just recently opened.My young sourdough starter is doing great. I made a couple loaves, and below is an awkward picture of the inside crumb. I’m happy with how well this new starter is performing. Next I’m going to try some tortillas because Middle DIL made them from sourdough starter and they were delicious. I even ordered a tortilla press. I am determined to slow life down a bit and do the things I enjoy at home more. This weekend, I plan to try another batch of gluten and dairy free cinnamon rolls to thank Youngest his wife and her mom for all their help with Maggie when I hemorraged. This weekend we will be babysitting Cigi. Her parents are doing some volunteer work Sunday afternoon, so Wizard and I are happy to watch her. She’ll keep us busy. And guys, guess what??? Youngest son and DIL and expecting to have their baby a little early in about a week and a half to two weeks from now. Baby G is a big boy already. DIL looks so good even in her 8th month. It’s downright weird, but so awesome, LOL! I can’t wait to meet this baby boy. In the meantime LT is 5 months old and at such a cute stage. He’ll probably be close to 6 months when Baby G is born. I still can’t believe we went from one grandchild that we were grateful to have, and now we are all getting ready to welcome our fourth. Life is hard, yeah, but it’s can also bring us amazing joys in unexpected ways.
