As we arrive at Fall, Cubs playoff games, and midterms in my classes, I can see the final stages of Virgil Colvin #3. I went from 18k to 52k words in little more than a month. The last 20k or so awaits the completion of one other project, but I expect to be done before the end of October.

Then begins the editing process.

I go through and incorporate any edits that make sense from my writing pal, D.G. Roberts;I give it a complete read and then I send it to a small circle of outside readers for edits and general & specific feedback.I work through any issues from step two and give the book another full read.I submit it to the publisher for formatting and further editing rounds.

At that point we will be working to have the book out before Bouchercon 2027 where I would like to debut and sell it before returning to Houston for a local event and debut at Murder by the Book.
