On average, you are average. You’ll be above average or even exceptional in some areas, but that does not carry over to all aspects of your life.

Being very good at building rocket ships and electric cars does not make you an expert on public administration. The ability to create captivating 15-second videos does not make you an authority on political philosophy.

I am a capable IT consultant and write well, but I am distinctly average at home improvements and my chicken curry is notorious.

On average, we are all average. And that is OK.
