Nomadic Women began during a season of life no one would willingly choose. Within a short period of time, I lost my beloved father and walked away from a 30-year marriage. My life wasn’t simply changing; it had come off the tracks.

Like any rational person in the middle of an existential crisis, I bought a used conversion van—despite having no experience with van life—and set off across the country.

There was no grand, Instagram-worthy plan. I just needed a quiet place where my thoughts could settle and hope might find me again.

What I found on the road were women full of grace, generosity, and joy, women who had faced loss, change, and uncertainty, and found the courage to begin again. Their stories changed me. They became the heartbeat of this book, and their spirit resurrected my soul.
