Tuesday Update!

Hi everyone! Today we drove to London. I’ve never been here before so everything is new. Along the way we stopped at the Burghley House which was amazing! I’m always amazed how well some of these places are preserved, and constantly left wondering how much it cost to maintain them. There were many ceilings fully painted and continuing down the walls, lots of portraits, and apparently Elizabeth 1 visited there. Here’s a couple of them. The first is the Heaven room, the second is the Hell room lol.

Tomorrow we’re off to Stonehenge and other touristy things. Then we’re off to the post office to mail home some things so we don’t have to try to haul our heavy suitcases all over the place. I had the loveliest experience at breakfast. A reader said she reads both our books and a few of them she reads quarterly. The book of mine she said she loves is The List. I wrote that book during a very wet winter where it was going to rain for days on end. I had the idea when I started wondering just where people would go to get out of it if they had no home. I am not one of those authors who has readers who constantly tell them how much they love all their books so this really did mean a lot to me. If you have a writer you love don’t hesitate to tell them, believe me, it’s very much appreciated.
