Positive Changes are Coming!

Hello, dear friends near and far!
I hope you all have been well this past week-and-half. I know things have been looking up for me these past few weeks. My house has gotten the attention it has needed for a very long time, and I discovered some lovely, caring ladies through the Elgin Womans’ Club. In fact, I became an official member at our meeting yesterday. Yay, me! Although I have only been to two meetings so far, I am getting a lot out of it, and I am seeing a lot of potential for how I can do good for my community. I am feeling more and more fulfilled, therefore much better about myself. I am no longer wondering what my purpose is. I am no longer wondering what I am doing here. I am discovering I do have a reason for being here after all. I am here to help and give back to my communiity, and, what’s more, I have found people who appreciate it. This makes me so happy, because I am discovering how much it means to me. Hopefully, it will mean a lot to them, too. I just wish it hadnt taken so long.

As far as how it will affect me physically, I am finding it is not necessarily hard or physical work. Sure, there is planning involved, but it is brainstorming and the discussing of ideas. It is a lot of phone calls and emails and putting things in place. It doesn’t have to be hard for me, and even if there are certain last minute details to be taken care of, I can do it. So I get tired, so what? I have said many times, you have to get out and live life. Good things can happen when you do. At least try it. You might even feel better. Doing positive things can do wonders for you, plus others get something out of it. That is a good feeling as well.

I was thinking earier how, even though I have been to hell and back, none of it has been in vain. It has made it possible for me to point others in the direction of the resources they need. It also brought a lot of good people into my life as well as removing a lot not so good people from my life. I can look back on all of this and understand it all happened for my good. God was taking care of me after all. I just wish it hadn’t taken twenty years. Oh well, what can I say.

Well, that’s about it for today. I just wanted to share some insights with you.
Have a wonderful day!
Beckie.
