Taking a Rest
Most of the time, I like writing about life, what I experience, figuring out what it might mean, hoping what I write helps others on their path.
Yesterday, I had appointment #2 with the therapist. It’s like cleaning the pan that was used to roast the turkey—it gets worse before it gets better.
My appointment was at 2:00pm. I was in bed by 3:10,pm then slept until 6:00pm. That’s the same thing that happened after appointment #1. You might think I had trouble falling asleep later that evening, but I did not.
Therapy sessions earlier in my life often ended with a splitting headache. It seems this time they’re ending with exhaustion.
So, I’m clearing more space for me, even if the only thing I do is sleep. Which is where these Sunday notes come in.
I’m going to take a breather.
This is the last one for now. I have an idea about when I’ll be back but don’t want to commit to that, in case I change my mind.
I expect to come back. I enjoy writing these too much to stop completely. It matters to me that they matter to you. There’s a lot I’m confused about, but I’m not confused about that.
For now, I need to crawl out of that baby carriage, across that ice, and into a sleeping bag laid out in front of a warming fire. I need to look up and see stars.
Chewing the Cud of Good
Thankful for you.
