Romantic Heckler
I've published on amazon an ebook of poetry called "Romantic Heckler." It's 69 pieces geared toward an adult nature. The title poem will give you an idea of what to expect.
ROMANTIC HECKLER Humor is supposed to help you with the ladies. That being the case, I often play things for laughs.I'm not really a comedian, but I can play one-night stands as well as anyone. It's the extended tours I have trouble with. When things take longer, I start forgetting the punch line. She and I met, and she was a good audience and we got together.I liked playing for her.It was a six-month audition before the big show.It was a memorable performance, a standing ovation on New Year's Eve that threatened to pop my hernia stitches. We were talking a few days later, and she said, like a paying customer in the fifth row, "I thought you were funnier before you fucked me."
Self-publishing poetry feels old hat. It's been a while, but I've done it several times as Christmas presents. The first one, a copy of which I don't have and wish I did, maybe it's gathering dust somewhere, was titled "Hands of Words," and done on a mimeograph, which will give some readers an idea of how old I am -- others won't know what such a contraption is – and stapled together for presentation.
Back then only my friends and family were subjected to my poems. Thanks to amazon, the whole world can suffer my scribbling.
