Welcome, Zev!

[image error]All year long on the Pink Heart Society blog I’ve been writing about Destination: Life and I’ve been using a photo taken by one of my grandsons’ other grandma because it seems to embody the spirit of life’s journey and its myriad possibilities.

Earlier this week I wrote about traveling companions because the grandson in that picture was due for a traveling companion very soon.

As it happens his little brother was born that very morning (a few hours after I wrote the blog).

[image error]His name is Zev Anton, and we are soooo pleased that he’s here and healthy and that his mama has sole possession of her body once again.

We got to do Facetime with Zev and his big brother and his mom and dad the night he was born.  It was so much fun to see them all together. Not quite as fun as being there, but lots more fun than just talking to one at a time on the phone.

He’s home now, and I hope we’ll get to do Facetime again. In fact, I hope we get plenty of opportunities to be traveling companions as well.

Speaking of traveling companions, my sister got a new grandson the very same day.

[image error]Seth Michael was born to my nephew and his wife only seven hours after Zev was born.  How’s that for family solidarity?

So life is exciting here.  And there.

And this weekend I’m heading to Pittsburgh to a family history week-long institute.  Lukas and Holly are hanging around in my head, popping up with ideas, as if they, too, are traveling companions, saying, “Hey, don’t forget about us!”

[image error]No worries. I won’t be forgetting.  Traveling companions are just about the most important thing in the world.

Hope you are all having a good summer. What are you up to?

Oh, and speaking of surprises, I got a message from the art department or whatever department at Harlequin sends notices about new covers telling me that my new cover was ready for my book.

That would be Alex and Daisy’s book, I thought. But when I went to the site, there was a brand-new cover for The Cowboy’s Christmas Miracle! I guess it’s coming back out again this Christmas from Special Edition. Either that or they’re just giving it a new cover for no reason at all.

Who’d a thunk it?
