Moon Feathers will be a young adult novel featuring talking animals as some of the main characters. The world is our current, modern world as we know it, with one exception...some of the animals are intelligent and they don't normally let us know!

Mike, a teenage boy and his 'pet' parrot Marvin set off on a quest to find his grandparents, who he was told were dead, but may very well just be missing. He quickly discovers that Marvin is much more than just a dumb bird that can mimic human speech...he is actually intelligent!

Marvin leads him on a journey that spans the solar system. Along the way they pick up a few more members of their odd team...Charlotte, a white Persian cat, Randy, a field mouse and Uncle Ted, an enormous owl.

Will they find Mike's grandparents, or will they be lost in the far reaches of outer space?
