Llandudno and Anglesey

I've been talking to someone recently about Wales, where I lived for years and where I wrote Stockholm Syndrome - just thought people might be interested to see some pictures? I've uploaded a few here: the Great Orme in Llandudno on the north Wales coast, where Lindsay's house is, and Penmon on Anglesey and Puffin Island, which Pip mentions in Chapter 8.

The first chapter written was the one with all the gropey snogging in a car parked up the top of a cliff overlooking the sea. I didn't have any particular place in mind for that, but when I lived in Wales I spent such a massive amount of time walking up the Great Orme and taking sandwiches and books and just camping out on a blanket for hours at a time because it's so beautiful up there. I love the sea more than anything and there's a spot halfway up the Orme right at the tip where you can sit and you're surrounded by sea on three sides. It looks like it stretches on forever, it's my favourite place in the world. The stories probably wouldn't have been written at all if I didn't have such a clear sense of the setting for the whole part that takes place in Wales.

Just wanted to share, since I was sharing with someone anyway :)

Monique Well.....Mr Rider, what a small world it is!! My Mother lives on the Orme, I now live in Penrhyn Bay near the Little Orme. I so had a little chuckle to myself, as I think we all made a visit at one time or another to the top of the Orme to make out on the summit!!!!

Hope the Goats didn't nick your butties!!!

I know I am truly blessed to live in this most beautiful part of the World and I think it takes to actually move away to appreciate just how wonderful it is.

Stockholm Syndrome was on my wishlist, a must buy now I think.
