There's that problem and then there's the new books that show up when you do list any on here. If it didn't take so long for my laptop to load the pages here I wouldn't get anything read!

For catching up with new books, I think I'll just load them in as I buy them, and then rate them (if I'm going to -- I don't plan to rate fiction, only non-fiction) as I read. That way, at least the inventory part of the list will be reasonably up-to-date re: new acquisitions. [crossed fingers:]I really am bad about wanting to reread old stuff, though. :/ I could probably go the rest of my life without ever buying another book of fiction, although what fun would that be, LOL!
I'm terrible for re-reading. I love re-reading my old favourites. And I hate re-reading the bad things and finding out that they are still bad!

[nod:] Some books are just intensely rereadable, while others are good for a once-through and then not again. Although whenever I get rid of a book I thought I'd only read once, inevitably the time comes when I do feel like reading it again, so.... [laugh/headdesk:]

I have done that. I try not to get rid of books anymore because it isn't always easy to get another copy (but it is always annoying!)
