mirrored life

… preparing my pre-synopsis list of cast and locations and devices mentioned in the 2nd Wolf Hollow book, Come to Heel, which has grown to monstrous proportions and needs to lay off the self-saucing jaffa puddings, and naturally I’m starting at the beginning with the family: Scarlet, Kelly, Joshm, Victa, Triton, the roses-

Triton?

Well, yes. Of course Kelly’s four-wheel drive is elevated from mere means-of-transport to family status. That’s how it goes in my family. For instance, Dad has said “Your mother, Bob, Triton and I are booked on the boat” on such-and-such a date. Bob is the dog, the beautiful beagle who knows he is beautiful and is not above using his beautiful eyes and his velvety ears to suck you in to sharing your cake. Triton is Dad’s ute. His truck. His partner in adventure. And Triton is a lot of fun to drive… I know. That’s why Kelly has Triton instead of the Jeep he had in the first draft.
