This is very thought provoking Sam. A friend of the family died today after a long battle with cancer. I do not know his wife very well, however, from what I can glean from her relationship and her role as his care giver, I would imagine she was able to have that transformative experience with him. I am slowly but surely becoming a caregiver for my parents and my best friend and I have that relationship as well, she suffered a stroke. I will be looking for your works and look forward to reading them. I just entered a give away for one of your books. I hope I win!! I'm intrigued!!!

Sorry to hear about your friend Dora. Loss takes us on an introspective journey that is best reflected on; rather than, avoided. Know you are in my prayers today.Sam
"What a person believes to be true is true for that person." -- Very wise words. As a pastor who has been in law enforcement and having been with many a Soul that has crossed over and beyond our realm, I really stress the wisdom of the aforementioned quote. So many times as clergy we are used to be the one that provides the answers, and we do so as a knee jerk reaction at times. At times, we serve folks best by just remaining calm and silent and let them share their final grace, introspection, and time with us. Blessings to you Brother Sam. The race is long and tough, but the rewards are indeed great. Peace to you and those you touch.

Silence is golden to all involved!
@Dora -- Wouldn't it be a grand world if more practiced that? Many of the Eastern faiths have the right idea...silent centre finding that leads to peace and amazing insight. Now if we could just get rid of so many's nature to pigeonhole things and slap labels on everything. Once we see that we are ALL children of love, and EQUAL in every way, great things could happen out of the simplicity. Peace to you my wise angel.
