Books for Younger Boys!

I remember the first book I ever read cover to cover, I even remember some of the imagery I experienced while reading it. For those of you who have read my bio, you know to which book I am referring. As I think back on that portion of my life, I am struck by how little there was for a young boy to read (tried to read Ivanhoe, but it was just too much to handle for someone just getting into books). I had a friend who was into Louis L’Amour, but westerns have never been my thing, even when I be...

Hazel West This is so true, and I am trying to do much the same. There are sooo many books for young girls out there but boys get nothing, no wonder they don't read! Since I always liked to read guy books I was and still am always on the lookout for books young teen guys can read and enjoy. I actually made a list here for YA guy reads out of ones I have read. (I also personally love Louis L'Amour ;)

From what I've gotten to read of your story already I think you've done what you set out to do. It has that kind of Tom Sawyer feel to it. But let us definitely write more books than boys want to read!
