Mmm, iridescent purple foil!
Just as I was off to the studio the day before yesterday, a big box arrived full of advance copies of Whizz Pop Granny Stop! from Nosy Crow. I'm so pleased with this book - Steph Amster has done a wonderful design job on it, and picked the perfect colour for the cover to complement the first book.
Don't they make a lovely pair?
I so enjoyed designing these characters for first book I ws thrilled to be able to revisit them, and give both ladies a wardrobe update too. I love Tracey's writing, and her dry sense of humour comes through brilliantly in these stories - roll on book three I say! Huge thanks also to Kate Burns, who shepherded both these stories to the finish line with tact and aplomb before her departure from Nosy Crow.
Nothing beats a fat stack of advance copies!Tracey and I are doing a round of events at bookshops and festivals during the weeks surrounding Hallowe'en; I'll post details nearer the time, so you can come along and get your face painted in haphazard granny-style.
